Each year at the District 73 Annual Convention, two special awards are presented: District Officer of the Year and District Toastmaster of the Year.
This is an opportunity for you to recognise an outstanding District Officer and/or a Toastmaster for all their hard work.
The District Officer of the Year is selected from the Senior Leadership Team; however, it does not include Area or Division Directors. The Area Director of the Year and Division Director of the Year awards will be presented at the District Changeover Dinner and nominations for these awards will be sought later.
The District Toastmaster of the Year is awarded to a member who has made a significant and outstanding contribution within the District. It recognises the work of a Toastmaster who has gone above and beyond the duties and expectations of their role.
Do you know a Toastmaster who you feel has exceeded in their role this year? Have they gone above and beyond what is expected of them? Are they the type of person people turn to for guidance and help?
If you feel there is someone who deserves either of these prestigious awards, please submit a nomination by writing a couple of paragraphs detailing why you think the Toastmaster of your choice deserves the award. Nominations for both awards are to be sent to Christine Dimitros, District Director HERE.
A Toastmasters International (TI) form detailing criteria that can be used as a guide for the District Toastmaster of the Year award is HERE for your reference. There are no specific TI criteria for the District Officer of the Year award. Both awards will be presented at the Devilicious Gala Dinner on Saturday 19 May 2018 at the District 73 Annual Convention in Hobart.
The closing date for nominations for both awards is Friday 11 May 2018.
