2020: Your Future in Focus
Unfortunately, the District 73 Conference was moved from South Australia to online but the show must go! Our thanks go to our District Conference Chair, Anna Weissman, for her hard work in organising the conference before the cancellation. The conference was run from Friday, May 15th to Sunday, May 17th 2020.
The weekend was still full of excitement with hundreds of people being able to watch the four District Contests and attend the District Council Meeting from the comfort of their home.
There was also:
- An opportunity to meet the Region 12 International Director Candidates Lesley Storkey and Jan Vecchio
- An exciting workshop run by Greg van Borssum
2019: Power of Possibilities
The conference was held at the Novotel in St Kilda, Victoria from Friday, May 17th to Sunday, May 19th 2019. Our thanks go to our District Conference Chair, ??, for his/her hard work in organising the conference.
The weekend was full of excitement with a Friday Cocktail Welcome and a “saints and sinners” gala dinner in addition to the four speech contests.
There was also:
- A keynote speech from the 2015 Toastmasters World Champion of Public Speaking, Mohammed Qahtani
- A keynote speech from the Region 12 International Director, David Templeman DTM
- Workshops run by Darren Fleming, Susan Weser, Maribel Steel, Tom Moore, and Mark Cowen-Aston
2018: Speak of the devil
The conference was held at ?? in Tasmania from Friday, May 18th to Sunday, May 20th 2018. Our thanks go to our District Conference Chair, ??, for his/her hard work in organising the conference.
The weekend was full of excitement with a Friday Cocktail Welcome and a ?? gala dinner in addition to the four speech contests.

- A keynote speech from TEDx speaker, TEDx speaking coach and organiser, Cathey Armillas
- A keynote speech from stand-up comedian and writer, Gavin Baskerville
- A keynote speech from our Region 12 International Director, David Fisher

2017: Find Your Inner Hero
The conference was held at the Rydges Carlton in Carlton, Victoria from Friday, May 19th to Sunday, May 21st 2019. Our thanks go to our District Conference Chair, ??, for his/her hard work in organising the conference.
The weekend was full of excitement with a Friday Cocktail Welcome and a Superhero Gala Dinner in addition to the four speech contests.
There was also:
- A keynote speech from America’s Cup winner and Australian sporting great, John Bertrand
- A keynote speech from World Champion of Public Speaking Australian, Mark Hunter
- Workshops run by ??
