Mornington Peninsula Toastmasters held its 40th Anniversary Celebration at Mornington Community House on Thursday, 10th November.
There were around 30 attendees, including past members, current members, district leaders and guests. Kaylene Ledgar, Distinguished Toastmaster, Author, Public Speaking Coach and Mentor, was the keynote speaker, delivering an inspirational presentation on how Toastmasters dramatically changed her life and set her on her true path. Kaylene has written ‘Speaking It’s NOT Worse Than Death!’ and ‘From the Heart with Tears – Plan and Deliver a Heartfelt Eulogy’.
Past and current members also gave testimonials on how Toastmasters has benefitted them. We learned a bit more about the history of Toastmasters International and the club itself. Supper was enjoyed in the break and a great night of fun and fellowship was had by all.
