How did your first month this year go, maybe as a District Leader, a Club Executive Officer OR a fabulous District 73 Member?! I am sure just like all of us you are trying to learn and grasp a lot of new things. Enjoy the newness for the next 5 months and then you will start to observe that you will become more comfortable with your learnings. Your network grows within the Toastmasters community, and you start to understand your growth process better.
Who can you seek guidance & support while you get started this year:
For Members: Reach out to your Club Executive Officers for help & support in planning and executing your Toastmasters plans and action items.
For Club Executive Officers: Reach out to your respective Area Directors to seek guidance and support to plan your Club Contests, conduct your Club Executive Meetings, Draft and finalise your Club Success Plan and align your Club Members educational journey’s using pathways.
For Area Directors: Reach out to your respective Division Directors to gain advice and support to plan your Area Contests, organise qualifying judges, Area Success Plan and communicate timely information to your respective Club Executive Officers.
For Division Directors: Reach out to your direct reporting leader – Program Quality Director DTM Kevin Broughton for your leadership team meetings, District Officer Trainings(DOT), Club Officer Trainings(COT), Speechcraft, Youth Leadership, Awards & Trophies, Education & Training information, Division Success Plan and other support and advice required to lead your respective Division.
For Chartering New Clubs: Reach out to your Club Growth Director – DTM Juls Davey to initiate the process of chartering a club, understanding the branding and marketing plan.
For District Leadership Team (DLT): Reach out to your District Director – Namrita Anchan for District Executive Committee (DEC), District Council Meetings (DCM), Finance & Budgeting, Leadership Recruitment, District level approvals, District Public Relations Management, Communications, TI related queries support and advice on overall management of your respective teams.
Lastly, do attend the Hybrid Toastmasters International Convention and watch our fabulous District 73 Semi-finalist Jody Dontje who is representing Australia on the International Platform in the World Championship of Public Speaking for International Speech Contest on 18th & 20th Aug 2022. We will also have the Annual Business Meeting (ABM) which is a yearly assembly of the voting members of Toastmasters International. It is primarily held for the election of Board Members and to conduct other business of the organization.
And all our District Executive Committee members – please attend our first District Executive Committee Meeting (DEC) to be held online on 3rd September 2022[Saturday] followed by our District Council Meeting (DCM) to be held online on 11th September 2022[Sunday] for our District Council Members.
